Of course, this is a monument to the character of Lewis Carroll’s book “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. It’s located near the house number 54 at Sherbakovskaya street (near Semyonovskava metro station).
The rabbit is not white, but cute.
I was wondering, why no part of the rabbit is glittering. Then I learned, that this rabbit had a walking-stick earlier, and the tradition was to rub it for good luck. Seems like somebody needed too much luck and broke off the stick. Not a nice person.
Did the rabbit have a hat in the book? I do remember the jacket, but not the hat.
The watch. I’m remembering the rabbit’s famous words: “Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late!” Maybe if you come to the monument, you won’t be late anymore?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find out, who and when has created this monument.
I wish nice weekend to everyone!
