Moscow offers a lot of winter entertainment this year: ice-runs, skating rinks, various light and music events. Ice sculpture exhibition “Ice Moscow. In the bosom of family” was opened at Poklonnaya Hill.
There are a lot of negative comments about this event in the Internet, people say that there is nothing to see, that the prices are too high and all this exhibition is a complete waste of time. We can say that we liked this exhibition.
There are not too many sculptures, that’s true, but ones that present, are qualitative. They create a nice winter atmosphere. Some of them – racing car, motorcycle, Royal armchair, fridge, etc. – were created especially for taking photos. Children are happy to climb onto them. You will certainly get some interesting family photos there.
I learnt accidentally that “Ice Moscow” project is prolonged until 1st of February. The exposition is open from 12:00 to 22:00 and ticket prices are decreased: now it is 150 rub for adults on weekends, 100 rub on weekdays and free for children under 7.
If you haven’t seen bright Moscow sights made of ice yet, now it’s time to amend the situation!
Bolshoy Theatre, Moscow State University, Triumphal arch, “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman”, The Tsar Bell, Moscow Kremlin, monument of Pushkin and Ostankino Tower – all these are made of shining ice. This is the real Moscow in miniature.
At night “Ice Moscow” is illuminated by multicoloured lights.
A huge ice-run is constructed near the “Happy new year” sign. People say that it is as tall as a three-storey house. You can slide on a rented ice-boat, or on your own for free.
There is a lower ice-run on the exhibition. Children and adults are both sliding from it.
You can also take a photo with cardboard cars. The animator program has finished, so they are standing aside for no purpose.
See you again somewhere else!
