Informal look at Moscow
The steam locomotive arrived to Rizhsky railway station, where a group of tourists was waiting for it impatiently. They’ve already seen the museum exhibits, but how a monument can be compared to a real, hot and moving locomotive? This is a real wonder from the remote past and the frosty weather is not an obstacle for looking at it with delight and amazement, the more so as the ride and more wonders are waiting ahead.

1. There is a traditional GUM-fair at the Red Square. It looks similar to previous ones and even uses the same paraphernalia. New Years’ retro postcards, that GUM is decorated with, are the only difference.
I’ve shown the fair last year, so I decided not to do it again.

Leave a CommentMoscow offers a lot of winter entertainment this year: ice-runs, skating rinks, various light and music events. Ice sculpture exhibition “Ice Moscow. In the bosom of family” was opened at Poklonnaya Hill.
There are a lot of negative comments about this event in the Internet, people say that there is nothing to see, that the prices are too high and all this exhibition is a complete waste of time. We can say that we liked this exhibition.
A month ago, I thought that a normal winter wouldn’t come to Moscow, but I was mistaken. It began, finally. This is how environs of my house looked yesterday. Now the view is even better, because it’s snowing.

1. There is a strange Christmas tree in front of the entrance. This is an 18-meters-high model of a parachute tower, which were located at the park and had even been one of its symbols in 1930-1950s.
